Gomma Podcast #82:
Manuel Kim X-Ray Mix
Monthly Archives: July 2011
Lil Louis – French Kiss (Manuel Kim Saxy Conversation Edit)
Originally released on FFRR 1989. This is certainly one of the most epic club tracks of all times and became a major hit in the late 80ies. Using some alternative B-side mixes, I created a more straightforward club version that one the one hand eliminates the iconic slowdown in the middle of the track, but gives you a great sax part you probably didn’t expect in its stead!
Arnold Jarvis – Take Some Time Out (Manuel Kim Dub Edit)
Originally released on Fourth Floor Records 1987. A sensual and atmospheric early House tune that lives by its great production as well as the thoughtful vocals. As per usual, my edit focused more on the dub side, giving the vocals a little room in the breakdown only.

Crystal Waters – Gypsy Woman (Manuel Kim Edit)
Originally released on Mercury 1991. One of the most iconic dance records of all time, this is easily recognized by the piano hookline. But I bet that you will experience this record quite differently if heard in this instrumental / dub edit.
